Swirl around my teeth like golden sharks,
Preying on thoughts before they
Come up for air,
Wild light and young,
Unlike these silk grey hairs.

Sink in me with a sweet sharp burn,
My feet firmly planted down
Before I stumble,
In a shuffle to all that jazz,
When the ice begins to crumble.

Nestle in my now softened heart,
Fluffing its sinews before
Against me they stack,
And keep the nightlight on,
So I may find my way back.
