As Is What Was is a collection of poems created with no thought at all. None. There is no control over grammar, sound, rhythm, idea, or anything really. Why? I thought it would be fun. Is it insane? Absolutely.
I despise your false poets
The all know-it alls
Throwing quotes out there
Acting oracles
I despise career leaders
As if that’s supposed to be a thing
You ain’t worth salt
Unless you’re placed in office
Without asking
I despise the holy
Who espouse sheltered in stone
Give me a priest who knows biology
And how ecosystems grow
I despise you and despise me too
For thinking it’s wrong to wrestle
With mass truth
For believing it’s mad
To get all muddy in honest
Shoes
I despise you for liking this
Because it sounds good
Or ignoring it ‘cause
It doesn’t jive good
I despise writing as is what was
‘Cause I can’t tell where any of this
Is coming from
I like it as the poem has a message as it must have if it is to get across to the reader.Without it m poetry can only mystify or confuse the reader who is essential to the poet.

Impressive meaning appears to be struggling to come across in deserved coherence
Wow ! 🙂
