As Is What Was is a collection of poems created with no thought at all. None. There is no control over grammar, sound, rhythm, idea, or anything really. Why? I thought it would be fun. Is it insane? Absolutely.

Sluggish – a turtle

Carried it all

Dipped in cool waters

Battered – stalled

Frightened – rampant

Over and aboard

Pirate with a flag

Sword in scabbard

Hopeful and frightful

A free for all fight

A royal visage and a scar

That did smite

And they practiced their worth

On the uncaring seas

They might have fared better

If they’d done as they please

A master of diving

A jack of the lanterns

New to the lights

Couldn’t spot Saturn

And when the land came by

The ducked and they feared

The plunderin’ weren’t worth

All of their dears
