As Is What Was is a collection of poems created with no thought at all. None. There is no control over grammar, sound, rhythm, idea, or anything really. Why? I thought it would be fun. Is it insane? Absolutely.
Over in the throes of the post-repose state
Lay the blames of graces ignoring their own weight
And placed by the kiln were the kids all stolen
Cajoled by the overused robed nobles rollin’
“By gracious! By building! By brethren untouched!”
They flocked like the chickens the king sucked for lunch
“Aye burden, oh festered, mittery fun dirges!
I splurged more on the tales than each one of them churches”
Brittle in their intentions upon questions arising
Spied by the feathered calls – mixed uprisin’
Shingles upon garrotted / widened by rage
Jerked by the judges braised all blazed
Far cried all cretins in dubious purges
Trickled under conches staged on furges
No meaning behind eyes blind to burdens
Liberty’s on an island ironic and hurdened
Hearded oh herded thy senses have wronged
No armor battle wages and cling – have this shunned
As Is What Was There Be And Why
Great was the line of the day gone by.
One thought on “#3 – As Is What Was”
I interpret it as the raging against the current confused state of the world and a longing for a simpler easier truthful time
