#70 Noah and the Washing Machine

As Is What Was is a collection of poems created with no thought at all. None. There is no control over grammar, sound, rhythm, idea, or anything really. Why? I thought it would be fun. Is it insane? Absolutely.

 

Can we do it all again?

Is it possible to annihilate every particle of human construction?

Most every being is aware of the tale of Noah

And I’d argue god left all the heavy lifting to the poor fellow

Throwing the earth into the washing machine sounds easy enough

But what happens afterwards?

I know too few men who know how to operate an iron

I, myself, have been known to pop on a t-shirt and

Leave the straightening to the powers that be

(My slender frame and, perhaps, the wind)

That is the very problem:
